SAEON & ARU Call for a Research Chair in Coupled Human-Natural Systems (CHANS) in Montane Environments as Social-ecological Systems (SES)

Research job opportunity in South Africa

The South African Environmental Observation Network (SAEON) and the Afromontane Research Unit (ARU) are proud to be in association as partners in driving relevant research in southern African mountains.

Please see the SAEON website for details of a Call for a Research Chair in Coupled Human-Natural Systems (CHANS) in Montane Environments as Social-ecological Systems (SES).

The Chair is shared by SAEON and the ARU. The Chair will be based at the Afromontane Research Unit, on the Qwaqwa Campus of the University of the Free State.

We believe this is a first Chair topic for southern Africa as well as the first Research Chair to be housed at our mountain-based Qwaqwa Campus, so this is a tremendous opportunity.

International candidates are very welcome to consider this Call.

Please distribute this Call through your networks, as well as to any potentially interested prospective candidates.
