Following a discussion with Council Chair and Vice Chair Maurice Hoffmann and Ana Lillebo, we've determined the best approach for this year's Council meeting will be to move forward with planning a combination in-person / remote meeting; should Aveiro be within the red zone during the first week of December, then the meeting will be entirely remote. We recognize both the serious concerns of the present situation, as well as the significant benefits of being able to meet in person (particularly for new members); this way, Council members can decide if the benefits outweigh the costs based on their own particular set of circumstances. 

The conference rooms reserved at University of Aveiro have full capacity and facilities for video conferencing hookups. Those who plan to attend in-person are encouraged to purchase refundable travel tickets. For hotel accommodations, please contact Ana Lillebo directly; she will contact the hotel directly on behalf of Aveiro University and make arrangements for cancellation in case the conference cannot be held physically in Aveiro.
