Travel Grants
Travel grants may be given to researchers from ALTER-Net institutes1 who would like to participate in the conference but who do not get the financial support from their institute for their travel and hotel costs in Ghent. To apply, please send your request to Tessa Van Santen. Please indicate at which institute you work and attach a short letter from your institute1 explaining that your institute is not able to cover your costs.
Travel grants are not available for researchers from non-ALTER-Net institutes unless you are invited by the Organizing Committee to contribute to the conference with a presentation. For those who have been invited by the Organizing Committee, please contact Tessa Van Santen for information on how to be refunded.
ALTER-Net will reimburse travel and hotel costs to a maximum of 1250 EURO for participants outside Europe and to a maximum of 750 EURO for participants from Europe. There is no deadline for applying but when the travel budget has been used, the possibility for obtaining travel grants is closed and the link on the website will be removed. The ‘first come, first served' rule is applicable here.
