CNRS supports Zones Ateliers: a French interdisciplinary network for long-term research on human-controlled landscapes
CNRS has, since 2000, supported the Zones Ateliers (ZA) network, an interdisciplinary research network involving several institutes and organisations. The ZAs conduct long-term fundamental and applied research in the field of environmental sciences, in response to society’s demands. The ZAs are tools for environmental science-related research around a structuring element (river, landscape, town, …). They ensure a national service of observation and research in the environment, within an international scientific framework.
