Programme

  1. Screening of an episode of the last series of Galatée Studio dedicated to the oceans: “Le Peuple des Océans” (52 minutes)
  2. Talk by Jacques Perrin on the importance of the vision of film-makers in terms of the ways they present to the public the world of animals, even the most common ones, in research on the proximity and intimacy of relations with animals, in new ways of discovering of this world. Short presentation of the current project “The Seasons” and the ambitions of the directors of this new film (which might be similar to the preoccupations of most of scientists united under this conference) (around 15 minutes)
  3. Talk by Stéphane Durant on the tight historical relations of Galatée studio with the scientific community without which previous documentaries would not have been realized.  The scientists, from their side, could benefit from filming and shootings.  Concrete examples of these “win-win” relations will be presented, as well as scientific perspectives of “The Seasons” project. (around 15 minutes)
  4. Talk by Gillbert Cochet on the resistance of nature and wildlife to human violation. Nature takes any occasion to recover as soon as Man slows down his pressure and gives it a bit of time and space.  Some real examples in France giving hope for the future of Europe will be presented. (around 15 minutes).
